Kyra Minturn
Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born August 19th 1965. She is an American producer and actress. Her most famous character is that of Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime series The Closer. Sedgwick received an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. After the seventh season, Sedgwick was awarded a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in 2010. The series ended on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her recurring role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick received nominations for the Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's films roles include Oliver Stone's Born in July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Individuals (1992) The Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2011) are also among her many. Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who worked as an therapist for speech and family, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV Venture capitalist. She was born in New York City. Her mother was Jewish. Her dad was Episcopalian and of English descent. Sedgwick declares that she is Jewish and claims she is a member of Passover seders.
